I don’t mind the cold weather, but I can’t stand chapped lips which tend to happen far more often this time of year. They don’t look good and can be painful, which is why I try and prevent them as much as I can. Try as I might, chapped lips always seem to happen at least once a season for me. So, today I thought I would share with you my favourite products for preventing and repairing chapped lips.
C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve. This stuff is amazing. Not only does it work for your lips, but you can use it on elbows, knees, cuticles, or any other dry spots on your body. It comes in a little tin and smells amazing. Well, only if you like roses. It’s not greasy but feels so smooth and buttery on the lips.
EOS Lip Balm. These are so travel friendly, and the design of them is super cute. There are lots of scents to choose from. They just feel like your average lip balm on, but they get the job done.
Fresh Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment. This is on the higher end of the price spectrum but it’s worth every penny. This is my go-to when my lips are chapped but I still want to add some colour to them. This treatment tints your lips while moisturizing them, which is amazing. There are so many to choose from in this range, so if you haven’t tried them out yet, I definitely recommend doing so. They feel so smooth and hydrating on the lips and also contain SPF 15 to protect your lips from the sun.
Blistex Lip Chap. This is my go-to for just throwing in a handbag. They’re small and super affordable so it’s not the end of the world if I lose one. They have a medicated formula so they work best on lips that are already chapped. It feels tingly on the lips and this one also contains SPF 15.
