Sundays are typically a cozy day for me. I like to do some blogging, but I always make time for a pamper session and I also like to try and curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book.
I’ve recently been reading ‘Groundbreaking Fashion: 100 Iconic Moments‘*, a book written by Jane Rocca and illustrated by Juliet Sulejmani.
The book, published by Smith Street Books, is launching on April 11th, though I was lucky to receive an advanced copy. I’ve been reading it over the past week and it is such an interesting book!
The style of book is very similar to ‘Pretty Iconic’ by Sali Hughes, except it’s about fashion and not beauty. The book talks about iconic fashion looks over the years and gives some history on the designer who created the look as well as the celebrity or personality wearing the look. It also talks about why the particular look was groundbreaking.
The book is laid out in chronological order and is so fun to sit down and read cover to cover but it’s also a good one to flip in and out of. It’s really well written and the illustrations are beautiful.
It’s so interesting to learn about iconic fashion moments from before my time as well as to reminisce on looks I had forgotten about.
If you’re a fashion lover like I am this book is a must-have!
