Lash primers aren’t a new concept. They have been around for quite a while and a majority of brands have an option on the market. Lash primers can seem like just another unnecessary step in your makeup routine, but they really do help make a difference!
Lash primer is essentially a base coat that works to lengthen, volumize, and replenish your lashes. I’ve recently been testing out the Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer* and it has made a positive impact on the way my lashes look.
Lash primer is super easy to apply. You apply it the same way you would mascara and wait a few seconds before applying your mascara. The Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer gives my lashes dramatic volume (something very important to me) and makes them feel really soft and conditioned. The primer also works to make my lashes appear longer. While this isn’t something I really need help with, I do like that it provides both length and volume in one. I also find the primer helps with smudging. Tarte products are all cruelty-free, which is amazing too!
While admittedly I wasn’t sold on the whole lash primer thing initially, after consistently using it and trying it out with many different mascaras, it’s safe to say I’m hooked.
Have you tried lash primer before?
