Subscription boxes always intrigue me but are something I haven’t tried much of in the past. I recently recieved Mapleblume‘s December 2016 box* and was really impressed with it!
Mapleblume is a Canadian company that delivers luxury beauty boxes every other month. The boxes are only available to Canadian residents at this time but they are hoping to expand their reach soon, which I hope happens as the boxes are really nice!
Inside each box you get a minimum of 5 premium skincare and cosmetic products. You can cancel your subscription at anytime which is really nice and Mapleblume also gives you the option to purchase just one box so it’s risk-free to try or makes a great gift idea!
The boxes sell for $120 as part of the subscription service or $140 if you want to purchase just one. They are a little pricey compared to lots of beauty subscription boxes on the market but the products you get inside are quite luxurious and natural. The products are mostly full sized with the odd deluxe sample so you’re still saving quite a bit with this subscription box!
The packaging of the box itself is beautiful and I think this is a great way to try new products. In their December box I was able to try a couple brands I had been dying to try (Herbivore Botanicals and Trust Fund Beauty) as well as test out some brands I hadn’t heard of before.
Here’s what I received in my December 2016 box:
Herbivore Pink Clay Exfoliating Mask
This mask comes in a cute glass tub and I love the minimalist packaging. The mask itself is suitable for all skin types and is not tested on animals. Herbivore products are natural and this mask felt gentle yet effective on my skin. You mix 1/2 – 1 tbsp. of the mask with a few drops of water until a paste forms. You apply it to your face as you would with a regular mask and leave it on until it dries before rinsing it off. My skin felt so soft and nourished after using it and looked glowy the next morning.
Fitglow Beauty Mineral Blush in ‘Pure’
I hadn’t heard of this brand before but the packaging immediately caught my eye. The cute compact is aesthetically pleasing and the shade of the blush is something I’ll get a lot of use out of. It gives a natural finish on the skin but is quite long lasting. The formula is triple-milled so it blends very easily and the formula is also oil absorbing.
Maple Sugar Candies by White Meadows Farms
This cute little candy is made of 100% pure maple syrup. I think it was the perfect addition to this Canadian subscription box!
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Varnish in ‘I Love My #Selfie’
I love the square bottle of this polish! The medium red is a shade I see myself getting a lot of use out of too. It compliments my skin tone nicely and is a very wearable shade.
Pure Anada Petal Perfect Lipstick in ‘Sugar Plum’
This berry-brown lipstick with a bit of a metallic finish looks a lot prettier on than in the tube! Initially I thought this shade wouldn’t be for me, but it’s quite nice on. The formula is made with rich butters, plant oils, and waxes so it is very moisturizing on. It is very comfortable to wear and is quite long lasting considering how hydrating it is.
Organic Nation Hydration Day Cream
This moisturizer is quite lightweight but is still hydrating and nourishing. It is suitable for all skin types and is designed to improve skin tone and elasticity. I haven’t been using it long enough to see noticeable results but it feels really nice and I’ve been enjoying it so far!
LINNÉ Repair Face Oil
This oil is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars, protect against environmental stressors, and support collagen production. It can be used morning and night. While I haven’t had it long enough to see noticeable results, it feels nice on and I’m really excited to see how it goes! There is also a 20% coupon in the box to save on additional LINNÉ products.
I think this box is an incredible value. If you’re a lover of natural beauty, Mapleblume is definitely for you! You can sign up on their website HERE just in time for their February box!
