A little while ago I shared some of my new beauty discoveries with you guys and thought I would make it a new series and to share with you the new products I have been trying every month or so. I’ve got some good ones to talk about today so I want to get right into it:
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump Lip Gloss in ‘Pink Well’*
This gloss is such a pretty pink shade! It looks natural on the lips and I love the ultra glossy finish. The gloss is a bit sticky, but it’s not too bad compared to others on the market. My lips definitely look fuller after I’ve applied this, but the plumping sensation is unlike anything else I’ve tried before. I find lip plumpers usually pinch while they’re on but this one almost tickled. While it takes some getting used to, the results are definitely evident.
Face Atelier Lipsticks in ‘Strawberry’ & ‘Coral Reef’*
These lipsticks are both perfect shades for summer! ‘Strawberry’ is a matte red that would suit all skin tones and ‘Coral Reef’ is a matte pink-coral. While both shades I have are matte, there are a variety of finishes in this collection. Both lipsticks are long lasting and comfortable to wear. They’re quite pigmented and don’t feel too drying, which is especially nice in the heat.
Vita Liberata 10 Minute Tan*
I like to self tan as I really struggle to develop a tan naturally. Now that I’m working early mornings and more hours it can be such a chore to have time for self-tanners, but with the Vita Liberata 10 Minute Tan you only have to leave the guide colour on for a mere 10 minutes! You then wash it off and the tan develops in 4-6 hours. It’s so low maintenance and doesn’t have that self tanner smell. It is also a 2017 Cosmo Beauty Award winner, and for good reason!
Quo Brow Sculpting Pencil & Powder Duo in ‘Taupe’*
This brow duo has a retractable pencil on one end and a powder with sponge applicator on the other. It makes creating full brows easy and looks natural.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Nocturnal Ink Satin Eyeliner in ‘Blue Roan’*
This navy liner is so pretty paired with beige eye shadow for days when I don’t feel like black liner but still need some definition. The pen is easy to apply and offers intense pigmentation. It’s also long lasting and doesn’t fade midday.
Say Yes to Cotton Facial Wipes*
These makeup wipes smell so fresh! They are gentle on the skin yet do a great job of removing my makeup. They are soothing and refreshing while still being affordable. The wipes are designed for sensitive and allergy prone skin too, so everyone can enjoy them. Also, like the self-tanner, these wipes are a 2017 Cosmo Beauty Award winner too!
KISS does really good fake nails, so when I saw they launched lashes, I was intrigued. I have the ‘Flirty’ lashes from the Looks So Natural collection which are super fluttery and dramatic as well as the ‘Lily’ lashes from the Flourish Blooming collection which are perfect for everyday wear as they have a thin band and look natural on. They also released a Strip Adhesive Lash Glue with Aloe which is waterproof and latex free! It holds the lashes well and is easy to use.
L’Oreal Cobalt Blue by Voluminous*
I’m a huge fan of the L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, so I was excited to give this a try for summer! It’s the same great volumizing formula just in a cobalt blue colour. My lashes naturally are quite dark so the blue is more subtle on me but if you have blonde lashes, this mascara would look so cool!
Rouge Bunny Rouge Raw Garden Eye Shadow Palette in ‘Loess’*
This palette has really pretty warm, neutral eye shadows that are great for everyday. Inside are 4 shades (a creamy beige with yellow undertones, a milky pink, a cocoa brown, and a deep asphalt grey) that all work really well together. The powders are very buttery and blend nicely.
Sun Bum Face SPF 50*
I apply SPF to my face everyday, all year round so I always love trying new ones. The formula contains Vitamin E and aloe so it feels soothing on the skin and it’s a great size for travel!
Quo Matte Liquid Liner in ‘Denim’*
This liner is in a fun shade that isn’t too bold. I love the matte effect and it is easy to use. The liner is also long lasting and very pigmented, which can sometimes be a challenge for drugstore liners.
