I’m a sucker for a good eye shadow palette, so I was very excited to try out The Essentials Eye Shadow Palette* from Cargo Cosmetics. The packaging is so cute and the value is incredible!
Inside the palette you get 12 gorgeous eye shadows. The shades are all easy to wear and are influenced by the hues of urban architecture, which is really cool. The palette also includes a mirror, a dual ended brush and a black pencil liner. The packaging feels sturdy with a magnetic close and the dual ended brush is really nice quality.
The shadows are a good mix of mattes and shimmers. The formula of the shadows is so buttery and they blend really well. Some of the shades are more pigmented than others, but even the more muted shades can be built up with ease. I also really like the shade range, there is a good mix of neutrals with some bolder hues so it is easy to create a variety of different looks with this one palette. ‘Hub’ and ‘District’ are two of my favourite shades in the palette.
All in all, I think this palette is in an incredible deal. It’s perfect for traveling since you have everything all in one palette and you are able to create both day and evening appropriate looks using it. I also think the shades would compliment any complexion/eye colour.
Have you tried The Essentials palette?
