I love to bake, but I know there are a lot of people out there that don’t enjoy it as much. With the holidays approaching baked goods make a great gift so for those who hate baking, or are just short on time, I thought I would share with you 3 quick and easy festive treats that don’t require any baking!
These treats are super simple but are still really tasty. They would make great gifts or look cute set out at a holiday party!
First up are Rice Krispies Treats. Over the holidays Kellogg’s releases Christmas coloured cereal which is perfect for creating festive looking treats! The recipe is right on the box and they don’t take long to make.
Next is peppermint bark. You simply melt about 2 cups of white chocolate chips with 2 tbps. butter. Once it’s all melted, pour it out onto a baking sheet lined in parchment paper. Make sure the chocolate is spread evenly and sprinkle crushed candy cane pieces on top before the chocolate starts to harden. Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and then break up into pieces!
Last but not least is chocolate dipped pretzels. I melted 1.5 cups of chocolate chips with 1 tbsp. butter. I then took tongs and coated the pretzels in the melted chocolate before laying them out on a baking sheet lined in parchment paper. I topped them with Christmas coloured sprinkles to make them look more festive. I recommend adding the sprinkles after dipping each pretzel so the chocolate doesn’t get a change to harden. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before transferring to a different container.
