My skin’s needs are heavily dependent on the seasons. While typically I have dry skin, in the summer I do get some relief and find I can even be oily in my t-zone. With the arrival of spring I have swapped my skincare over for products that are still hydrating but not quite as rich as the products I use throughout the winter.
My skin is still dry but I find as the weather warms up it’s not as unbearable. I also find I’m more active outside where air pollution and excess sweating can lead to breakouts so I like choosing products that really do a good job of cleaning my skin.
Today I thought I’d share with you what is in my current skincare roundup:
L’Oreal Micellar Water Complete Cleanser*
This micellar water is found at the drugstore and the bottle is huge! It works really well at removing my makeup and doesn’t irritate my eyes like some micellar waters do. It works on waterproof makeup and is suitable for all skin types. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and soothed. The formula is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores and it is super hydrating.
Nivea Creme Care All-In-One Facial Cleansing Lotion*
This cream cleanser feels very gentle on my skin but still does a proper job of cleansing my skin. It has a light scent and protects my skin’s natural moisture barrier. The cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and nourished, which is always a nice combination. This cleanser doesn’t break the bank either.
Biotherm Purefect Skin Toner*
This toner mattifies the skin and reduces shine. While I don’t quite need either of those things, the toner also reduces impurities, tightens pores, and improves texture, all of which are beneficial to my springtime skin. I find as long as I follow up with a good moisturizer this toner doesn’t dry out my skin and instead leaves my skin feeling refreshed.
Avene Ystheal Intense Anti-Aging Skin Renewal Concentrate*
I’ve been really into serums the last little while and this one is a really nice option. It smooths fine lines and wrinkles, which I don’t really need but it also improves texture which is important to me. It’s really lightweight and I love how glowy it makes my skin look.
L’Occitane Divine Eye Balm*
This eye cream is one of the most luxurious I have ever seen. The packaging is stunning and the formula is really great. The balm works to fight signs of aging, which isn’t something I necessarily need, but it also smooths and brightens the under eye area, which I love. It is rich but absorbs quickly and feels very nourishing. I also really appreciate that it has a light scent.
L’Oreal Hydra Genius Moisturizer for Extra Dry Skin*
I did a whole blog post on the new L’Oreal Hydra Genius range HERE so I won’t ramble too long, but I am so obsessed with this moisturizer! It smells amazing and feels so calming and hydrating on my skin. The liquid-balm texture is refreshing on and works well day and night.
What are your go-to skincare products for the spring?
